My writing
MY WRITING
In room 2 we have been doing quick writes inspired by photos that Mrs Cameron chose for us. this is my story of what had happened before the photo was taken.
This is mine ...... I hope you enjoy.
MY JUMP
I hear the waves crashing against the wood. The seagulls squawking above me, warning me of the storm brewing. looking down in the Gray-green Auckland water I see my reflection staring at me. I freeze. Hesitate. Frozen in my tracks.
I see all of my friends , there are about seven or eight of them here, jeering and laughing at me. And I am regretting taking the dare. Feeling like a caged monkey I look at that sea green water makes my tummy feel like it is doing the Olympics. I looked at my friends, and found they were already staring at me.
For a second I considered saying no to the dare but then I would look like a coward. No. I can do it.
Now with no fear, I climb the wall. As I leap the world seems to go in slow motion, for a second I believe I am free, before gravity pulls me down and just as I hit the water I hear my friends laughter. Then it hits me.The freezing liquid. I gasp. I Swallow the salty water.I need to come up, I can’t hold my breath for much longer, and just before I think I am going to pass out, I break through the surface.

my foul shot
We have been doing a poem called foul shot by Edwin A. Hoey We had to write our own this is mine I have 2.
The Bowl
Waiting for the perfect moment to strike,
Wiping the ball shiny sprinting into the bowl
The results of the last bowl,
Waiting,
Sprinting,
Leaning
Wobbling
Wiping,
Hesitating,
Breathing,
The ball leaving her hand in the process Of a Windmill
Spinning through the air in a yorker bowl,
Causing the batsman to swing and miss,
Hovering in the air,
Spinning,
Bouncing,
Swinging,
Missing,
And then
And then
And then
The glorious sound of the ball smacking against the wicket
The win.
AND
Net ball
Waiting to receive the ball
Sprinting to get free
Getting away from Te Mata
Waiting,
Hesitating,
Sprinting,
The ball
Spinning through the air,
Hammering the ground,
Coming to my chest
Smacking my hands and spinning upwards,
Smashing the rim,
Hitting,
Spinning,
Playing it coy,
And then
And then
And then
It falls.

My positive statements
We created positive statements to look at wheneverlife gets rough. For me mine means you Can't have good without a little bad what means if you make a mistake you can always make it better. How we made itfirst we got a piece of paper the size of the canvase and and practised in till we got it right, then we traded it onto the canvase with a pencil, thirdly we went over it in permanent colord markers, finally we drew pictures on and hung them up on the wall. This is mine.
